Branwen

Branwen is an older, more composed member of Harrow's party. He speaks little and does not show a wide range of emotions, preferring to remain quiet and observant.

He is a heavy pipe smoker and, in the eyes of Yu, becomes restless when he has to wait too long between pipes:

"On the trail, he had never talked much, but his body had always been desperate. Yu had never understood this sense of tension, that constant strain beneath the calm, until he had first seen him smoke. That had been on the fifth day, when they had slept in a cave. Since then, the pipe had been the one ritual that steadied him. Branwen had smoked whenever possible during the sparce moments they found some sort of shelter from the storms. It had also been the first thing he had done when they arrived at the guild. Today was no different. The faint ember of his pipe glinted in his palm, and thick clouds of smoke curled above his head. He still looked at Yu, though also at something behind him, that was not really there. Or so Yu hoped."   [B1.C19]

As of now, this guy is an absolute side character, and there is nothing noteworthy to mention about him, other than that he has some scars on his face and is rather good at weapon care. Where does he come from? What are the tragedies and dreams that shaped his life? Who knows? I sure don't.

Nion

Nion’s first career did not lie in adventuring, but in the musical arts. For a few years, he apprenticed with an instrument maker and learned the basics of crafting pipe instruments.
In [B1.C19], Yu saw him working on a flute; "carving small notches into the wooden haft of a slender metal spike."

He likes to drink Dundinway.
He is also a heavy eater. Yu wondered about this in [B1.C19]: "Nion was tall, yes, but his limbs were all bone and stringy tendon. So where did it all go?"

Ondahr
