Music and Patreon Preview
Dear Travellers,
The breadcrumb of things:
THERE WILL BE MUSIC!
And Patreon.
The whole loaf:
I wanted to share two things with you that I have been working on in the last few days. For the first time in the almost year and a half that I have been publishing The Glass Wizard here and on Royal Road, I was asked if there was a way for a reader to support me via Patreon. It was an incredibly kind message.
I had always thought of setting up a Patreon account as something for the distant future, a time when I could be sure that people genuinely enjoyed reading about this Whiny Wizard Webstory of mine โ a far, far distant future where I could, if not envision, then maybe dream of being a full time writer. That, truly, would be the dream. For now, I will wait with Patreon and build on that dream with a few more chapters.
That said, I would like to assure you that The Glass Wizard will always be free to read. I am deeply grateful for your presence here and for your patience with this story. That, for me, is the most valuable part of publishing online.
As a small gesture of thanks, I thought of sharing images and music with my Patrons. Which brings me to the second announcement:
I have started turning the poetry woven into the story into songs โ actual music, in the form of audio recordings.
Currently, I am working on a “Song of the Guild Guard” that had been introduced at the beginning of [B1.C15], which will be featured in full within the upcoming sections.
Please enjoy this preview of Guild Guards, which I hope to turn into a full-fledged song soon.
ย
I am also considering creating a song for The Witching Hour nursery rhyme and Dwellers in Darkness, the eerie song that emerged from the Albweiss after Midnight became a being of darkness. And, I am toying with the idea of a Glass Wizard Theme as well. There are so many ideas brewing, but alas, so little time โ and coffee.
Thank you so much for your continued support, and please stay tuned for more updates! [Bad pun intended.] A special thank you to the 30th person who rated The Glass Wizard on Royal Road. You truly made my day.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Duckman
