Shamans show the most unpredictable of abilities.
Throughout their transformation, shamans develop individual abilities. Some of these are rooted in their original existence, while others may be unexpected. It is believed that the individual’s character and ambitions influence their change just as much as their biology and their guides.
Shamanic Reading
A reading is evoked to sense and unravel truths that flow through all things — people, beasts, nature, and even the land itself. Through this art, truths long hidden may surface, emotions may be stirred, and echoes of the past may resound.
BLOOD AND ESSENCE
“Blood is life,” she said to both travellers. “And essence is memory. Both carry truths the mind forgets, and those it never learned. Sometimes, even those it was never meant to know. Will you give of yourself, to be understood in a language beyond lies?” [B1.C17]
Nothing has yet been revealed about shamanic readings. One reading, however, had been observed:
With crystalline needles, the shaman of the Albweiss Mountain Guild performed a reading of essence in [B1.C17]. The needles sank into the traveller's skin without puncturing. When removed, these transparent artefacts crried fractions of essence. Upon consuming them, the shaman delivered her reading, in which she determined whether someone was marked by a witch. She also revealed knowledge of the respective traveller's past and character.
