The story has not introduced Tairan yet.
In [B1.C4], it was said that Tairan cultures brought technical novelties and previously unseen innovations such as the coastal Lighthouses to the Northlands. Three decades ago, they were subdued and extinguished by the sheer masses of primitive, warfaring humans who roamed the lands back then.

As the story progresses, information on Tairan history and culture will be added.
A DIMINISHED CULTURE
ANCESTRY
APPEARANCE
Tairan and humans share striking similarities. The tairan currently residing in the Barnstream settlements have mixed ancestry, which traces back to the subjugation they endured.
Distinct tairan traits are a pale complexion and fierce colourations of hair; oftentimes striking mixes of flaxen blond and burning red.
INTELLIGENCE
The original tairan were extraordinarily advanced and brought with them both their knowledge and numerous inventions when they arrived on the continent and settled in the north around 300 years ago. The wars destroyed most of this heritage.
When habitat-born humans display distinct tairan traits, they should be handed over to a tairan community. The only exception is for those children who are deemed mentally impaired. If they are unable to sustain themselves, they either die in infancy or are removed from the habitat and disposed of. Otherwise, they are sterilised and kept among the other humans until they pass away โ at least this is what Yu believes to be true about the Barnstream Habitat run by his shirka.

"He had heard of a Witch-Blessed tairan woman living in Artellem, one of the northernmost settlements. Even the most ignorant knew one thing about her: she was the largest, most grotesquely fat person in the known world. Yu had no idea whether and how that related to her so-called blessing, though."ย ย [B1.C14]
As of now, this tairan woman did not appear within the narration.
