Book One – Chapter 1

                   .

                       He leaned forward,
                 in that rather weird way,
           .                         where most of his body tried not to do any sort of leaning
       .                                                                                                                   at all

                He touched the arch with his right hand,
           also in a very weird way, _{albeit that other kind of weird,}
                    where you felt quite sure that you did not have the much needed consent
                                                            to do the touching.
           

              And yet
        
                    still

          
                              nothing.
