She stared back at him. For a moment, her gaze flickered to his leg.
Yves knew he was still bleeding. He could feel the warmth beneath everything else that burned; the blood working its way through leather and dust, but there was no point in tending to it now.
He returned his attention to the pendulum. Carefully, he extended his hand towards the stone arch, with the artefact struggling beneath.
Nothing changed.
